Tim Marren – Chief Executive Officer

Tim has been in post as the CEO since September 2017 after 30 years in working in the public and charitable sectors on customer services, corporate policy development and performance management. Married with a grown son and daughter Tim is also an experienced Shared Lives and Foster Carer and lives in Loughborough. Tim has a passion for working in the charitable sector and wants to build on and grow the invaluable work of the Trust and to make a difference to the lives of disabled and seriously ill people.

Gemma Trevethick – Development Officer

Gemma joined the Trust, as Development Co-ordinator in January 2016. After several years working in Finance for multinational, blue-chip organisations, Gemma took a sabbatical from her career to raise her two young girls, Sophie and Heidi, now aged 12 and 8. Later she returned to work as a project manager for Rutland County Council, supporting teenage parents back into education, training, employment or to become full time parents.

Gemma has a passion for all things building; She started developing properties aged 21, when she left University, where she studied Economics and Management. Her latest project was the complete refurbishment of a derelict property, where she took a year off work to act as project manager. When she is not busy at work, Gemma loves spending time with her family and walking her two Spaniels, Pippa and Oscar.

Chris Morton – Skipper

Chris is proud to be the longest serving full time skipper. Previously Chris spent 18 years with Royal Mail as an Engineer and Customer Liaison Manager. Chris was also Health & Safety rep for the South East Area. He volunteered for 2 years with Mencap in Kent and is presently studying Level 2 Social Care and British Sign Language. He is married with 2 grown up sons who both suffer from disabilities so understands the trials and tribulations as well as the joys of the disabled and their families.
