Charles Grace, Chief Executive Officer
Charles spent most of his working life in the shipping business. He was a founder Trustee and served as such until 2002 when he retired from business. He then took on running the Trust, and a great deal of time is spent raising funds.
Lynn Smith, Administrator
Lynn was born and bred in Bolton. She started her working life in Midland Bank in Bolton (now HSBC). She married Tony in 1991 and moved to Loughborough, working for HSBC in Leicester. She has two teen-age children and now lives in Quorn. She “retired” from HSBC in April 2002 and has worked at the Trust since May of that year.
Trevor Allman, Skipper
Trevor worked for East Midlands Electricity for 28 years in the industrial & domestic metering field. With some 40 years of canal boating experience Trevor joined the Trust in 2003 and his previous electrical & mechanical experience is useful in maintaining the boats.
Chris Morton, Skipper
Chris is proud to be the longest serving full time skipper. Previously Chris spent 18 years with Royal Mail as an Engineer and Customer Liaison Manager. Chris was also Health & Safety rep for the South East Area. He volunteered for 2 years with Mencap in Kent and is presently studying Level 2 Social Care and British Sign Language. He is married with 2 grown up sons who both suffer from disabilities so understands the trials and tribulations as well as the joys of the disabled and their families.
Barbara Coulson Development Director
Barbara (or Barbie as she likes to be called) Born and brought up in London, she has lived in Leicestershire for many years. Her working life has been in the Voluntary Sector; with Citizens Advice Bureau, as a Magistrate and with Active Citizenship Network in Europe. She is now a Trustee Board member of Rutland Citizens Advice Bureau and is still active in European projects, often associated with patients rights and primary care issues.
She started with the Trust in June 2012 in the new post of Development Director
