We held our first week with the National Citizen Service (NCS) young people at the trust throughout the week 26th - 10th July, and they created a fantastic mental health and sensory garden.
There were 34 16-17 year olds at the Trust, implementing their (and our) plans for the garden. We think you will agree it is a great colourful addition to our grounds at the Trust, and we know we will get lots of use of it in future years. They have also painted a beautiful mural in our youth cabin, please do have a look in when you are passing.
A special thanks to those volunteers integral in helping with the garden, particularly Chris Wakefield for his invaluable hands-on input.
We have several other weeks coming up with the NCS groups, including renovating a boat and crew training. We will keep you updated with the comings and goings of young people at the Trust.
If you would like to learn more about our Youth Programme, please pop in and see Angie or drop us a message.
