PwC enjoy an Employee Volunteering Day at the Trust

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a team from @pwc_uk for an Employee Volunteering Day at Peter Le Marchant Trust. The feedback we received was heartwarming and inspiring: One of the team members shared: "We were so pleased to be able to volunteer at such an amazing charity like Peter Le Marchant Trust. The work Peter Le Marchant Trust does is very inspiring and all of the team there are such fantastic advocates with a true passion for sharing their love of the waterways!"
Woodthorpe Lodge Care Home enjoy their Wellbeing Trip

Woodthorpe Lodge Care Home in Loughborough had a lovely Wellbeing trip on our canal boat Serenade on Monday the 1st of July. The passengers kindly presented our hard working volunteer crew with a gift set. Festive Sewing Sessions -15th October 2024

Relax! Enjoy a 2½ hour guided sewing session about our boat. Learn how to embroider using a hoop whilst taking in the picturesque views along the canal. All materials supplies, including hoop, thread and materials. Various festive designs - choose on the day. Only £17 per person.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding - Saturday 1st June 2024 FULLY BOOKED!

Saturday 1st June Two sessions available - 10am-12pm & 1-3pm Join us for a free session learning to Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) here at the trust with a qualified instructor and all equipment provided. Please contact Angie on [email protected] to book a place, places are limited.
Litter Pick - Saturday 11th May 2024 -10.00am - 1.00pm

Setting off from our base, come and help us keep our waterways free from rubbish. Litter pick either in the canoes or on foot. All equipment, instruction with a qualified instructor and refreshments provided. Open to ages 14 - 25 Free attendance though booking is essential for either on-foot or on the water participation.
Introduction to Crewing 3rd and 4th April 2024 - 10am - 3pm

Join us for a free 2 day course in understanding just what it takes to be a volunteer crew member with us in these introduction sessions. We will be going out on the water, talking about water and fire safety and teaching you the basics of customer care. Please contact Angie on [email protected] to book a place, places are limited.

Canoe Instruction Session With a fully qualified instructor, join us for a session in learning the basics of being in a canoe with a trip out on the water. All equipment provided, booking essential as places are limited.

Youth Wellbeing Week - Wednesday 26th July

The third day of our Youth Wellbeing week was packed today! We had plenty of Lego builders and craft creativity with fully booked canal boat trips and pedalos. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Tomorrow we have more crafts and pedalos, bird box and fairy door building, as well as a bouncy castle for the day.
Youth Wellbeing Week - Tuesday 25th July

Day 2 of our Youth Wellbeing Week was a great success. We had plenty of young people trying out our climbing wall, crafts and watercolour sessions. Our thanks to Beaumanor Hall and Active Charnwood for their participation. Tomorrow we have pedalos, Lego building, painting, crafts and canal boat trips - please do come down and join in.
Youth Wellbeing Week - Monday 24th July

We commenced our Youth Wellbeing Week, today. Thank you to everyone who joined in the archery, canal boat trips and crafts. We saw some wonderfully creative pebble painting, gratitude jars and journals. Tomorrow, we've got watercolour art, a climbing wall, as well as on-base crafts. Just pop along and join in - we look forward to welcoming you!
Youth Wellbeing Week 24th July - 27th July 2023

Join our Trust for a range of FREE drop in wellbeing sessions during the Summer holidays. Week runs from Monday 24th July to Thursday 27th July. Come along with an adult and enjoy boats trips, archery, painting, lego building and loads more.
Stand Up Paddle Boarding - July 8th 2023

Aged 12-25? Why not join us for free Stand Up Paddle Boarding at our base in Loughborough? Fully qualified coach. Places are limited. Morning and afternoon session available. Pre-booking essential. Delivered in partnership with Canal & River Trust.
