About the opportunity

Come and join our award-winning Gardening Team (Rated Outstanding by Loughborough in Bloom two years in a row) at our lovely Canal Base location in Loughborough.

 

Key tasks will involve

• helping the gardening team with everyday practical tasks to keep the base & garden looking its best
• helping with projects like new planting or clearing overgrown areas
• making sure things run as smoothly and safely as possible, this includes getting to know health and safety and evacuation procedures

 

Time commitment

The role would involve working with our friendly gardening team on a Wednesday morning for 3-4 hours.

 

Skills/attributes required

We are looking for individuals with the following skill and attributes:

• keen to work in a team;
• happy to work outside in all weathers;
• interested in gardening and have a bit of experience;
• reasonably fit – we aren’t talking Mo Farah, but you’ll be on your feet, bending and stretching during the day; and
• available at least once a fortnight.

 

Training & support

Training will be provided and we will give you all the information you need to enjoy and succeed in your role.
